2025 ODMA Awards
The Optical Distributors and Manufacturers Association (ODMA) has officially opened nominations for the 2025 ODMA Awards, introducing several new categories to recognize excellence across the optical industry.
Key Dates:
Nominations Period: 3 February – 31 March 2025
Voting Commencement: Mid-April 2025
Awards Presentation: Friday, 27 June 2025, at ODMAFair25, International Convention Centre, Darling Harbour, Sydney
Award Categories:
Independent Practice of the Year: Open to self-nominations or nominations by suppliers, recognizing practices excelling in areas such as renovations, team development, customer service, community involvement, and patient outcomes.
Supplier of the Year: Nominated by independent practices, this award honours suppliers whose instruments are highly valued in practice settings.
Top Customer Service Team: Recognizes supplier teams that provide exceptional service to optical businesses, as nominated by independent practices.
Sales Representative of the Year: Acknowledges sales representatives who have gone above and beyond in supporting practices, based on nominations from independent optical businesses.
Instrument of the Year: Highlights the most valued equipment used in practices, as nominated by independent practitioners.
Versatile Frame of the Year: Celebrates frames that have stood out over the past year for their appeal, versatility, colour range, and adaptability, with practices allowed to nominate up to three frames.
Best Independent Practice Window Dressing: Recognizes outstanding window displays by independent practices, with up to two different displays (and accompanying images) per practice eligible for submission.
ODMA CEO Amanda Trotman emphasized the inclusive nature of this year's awards, stating, "This year, we've designed the awards to ensure the entire industry can participate—from storefronts to product innovation. We've also made the process flexible, allowing people to nominate in one category or several, based on their preference."
Industry professionals are encouraged to submit their nominations by 31 March 2025. Following the nomination period, voting will commence in mid-April, leading up to the awards ceremony at ODMAFair25 in June.
