ODMA Announces Changes for Eyetalk Publications

To Our Valued ODMA Members and ODMA Eyetalk Advertisers,

I am writing to inform you of some major changes we are implementing with a view to a strong future for ODMA’s Eyetalk publications. As of January 2024, we are embarking on a variety of initiatives with your return on investment and, thus, our continued success in mind.

ODMA feels the time is right to develop a forward strategic plan for the Eyetalk publication, look to update our offering, and be agile enough to move with the changing optical industry landscape and requirements. We have sourced a vibrant team to work with us who are part of an agency known as the Industry Group Network (IGN). They are very used to working with industry publications that are both business and consumer-facing. We seek to continue to do all we can to deliver business as normal in the short term and with improvements and new offerings being nurtured for delivery in the medium to longer term.

IGN will provide ODMA with a scalable team of professionals who are organised, have access to efficient publication management systems, and who are proactive and customer-focused. The IGN team is well-versed in digital media and ise also committed to forward-thinking. All the team members I have met have impressed me with their knowledge, vibrant approach and keenness to work for continual improvement, and I trust thats you will all be in good hands.

Given this, we are announcing the following effective immediately:

  • The appointment of IGN as Eyetalk’s publisher

  • A new Eyetalk Account Management contact for all advertisers Shaquille Hibbert – eyetalk@ignet.com.au

  • Phone messages may still be left on our office answering service via 02 9450 0765

In the short term, we will forward all relevant communications; however, we ask that you note the above contact information and commence using these ASAP. ODMA and IGN will also reach out to contact you.
Our immediate plans are to:

  • Continue delivering printed Reference Guides as well as the digital file option

  • Leverage the newly completed reference guide data portal for production efficiencies

  • Consult and research to enable a forward strategic plan to be developed

  • Remain the trusted independent data resource as changes are implemented to PMS systems

  • Pro-actively source industry content through both regular and feature contributors

  • Expand Lookbook’s reach and frequency to expand our consumer reach promotions

  • Strive for excellent customer service through improved communications, systems and new initiatives

We will do all we can to make this change as seamless as possible and ask for your patience whilst we transition and update our processes.
Should you have any feedback at any time please contact me directly to address any concerns. Also, if you have any ideas you think we should be considering as we continue to ensure the content of all our publications is relevant and interesting and that our data is as accurate as possible.

ODMA is committed to continuing to provide the optical industry with practical and independent articles and data to assist Practice Managers,s as well a printed, digital and live forums that connect optical suppliers, practice and consumers for the benefit of all involved.
We look forward to continuing our great partnership with you in what will be an exciting time for Eyetalk publications.
