A Memorable Evening with Johnson & Johnson Vision Care

The Eyetalk team was thrilled to attend the recent evening with Johnson & Johnson and Vision Care!

The evening kicked off with drinks and networking among Johnson & Johnson's team, local business owners, and optometrists. The highlight was meeting Dr. Kurt Moody, the Director of North America Professional Education for Johnson & Johnson Vision Care Vistakon. Since joining the company in 2005, Dr. Moody has developed key lenses like 1-Day Acuvue TruEye and 1-Day Acuvue Moist Multifocal.

Dr. Moody's interactive presentation explored the science behind new contact lenses featuring three key technologies: Pupil Optimised Design, TearStable Technology, and OptiBlue Light Filter. He also detailed the innovative manufacturing process for Acuvue Oasys Max 1-Day lenses, enhancing water retention and tear film stability.

The event concluded with a panel discussion featuring Dr. Margaret Lam and Dr. Jim Kokkinakis, who shared their positive experiences with the new lenses, highlighting their comfort and reduced dehydration. Dr. Kokkinakis even mentioned the lenses' comfort was so high he accidentally fell asleep wearing them, and he now recommends them to his patients.

This insightful evening provided valuable knowledge and fostered connections within the optometry community, marking another step forward in vision care innovation.
